Holland America this week announced plans for a further three month-long trip from San Diego to Hawaii, Tahiti and the Marquesas Islands.
line says that the 1916-passenger Westerdam will sail from the city on September 29, 2011 for 30-day trip to the island destinations, and 1404-passenger Rotterdam will work two 30-day voyage on the same route starting on April 1, 2012 and March 4 .2012, respectively.
All three routes include stops on the Hawaiian island of Maui, Oahu and the Big Island, as well as visits to Fanning Island, Kiribati, the Cook Islands, Rarotonga and Raiatea, Bora Bora, Papeete, Moorea, Rangiroa, and Nuku Hiva in French Polynesia.
If Westerdam cruise passengers can board the vessel a few days earlier in Seattle or Vancouver, BC, expanding routes to 34 - or 35-day trip, respectively.
All three routes will include both crosses the equator and international date line. Longer stays are planned for Lahaina, Hilo and Honolulu, Hawaii, and there will be an overnight call at Papeete, Tahiti.
